TERU Talks About the Band's Bond on "Oshare Clip"

TERU made a guest appearance on Nippon TV's "Oshare Clip," broadcast on October 25, 2026. He shared the unchanging relationship among GLAY's members, now 32 years since their debut, along with his two-base lifestyle in Hakodate, featured through self-filmed footage.

Details

TERU made a guest appearance on Nippon TV's "Oshare Clip" (10:00–10:30 PM), broadcast on October 25, 2026. When MC Ikusaburo Yamazaki asked about "how close the members are," TERU recalled, "It might be because we all came to Tokyo together. It hasn't changed since our debut."

TERU further revealed, "Thinking about it, the four of us never really tried to keep going for a long time. If even one of us stopped and said 'I want to quit,' we're all prepared to let it end at any time." He described GLAY as "a band with the mindset that even if we stopped GLAY, the four of us would do something else together." The program also introduced an episode where the four members sometimes bring their instruments together to play privately.

His lifestyle at his studio-and-home in Hakodate was also shown through self-filmed footage. TERU explained that his reason for living there was "wanting to share more time with my parents." His longtime friend TAKURO also spoke about the value he felt in TERU's vocals recorded in Hakodate, and the conversation touched on the "dark era" before they moved to Tokyo.

Playback!

GLAY made their major debut on May 25, 1994, with their first single "RAIN." The "32 years since debut" mentioned in this broadcast traces back to that starting point.

TERU built his studio-and-home in Hakodate and began his two-base lifestyle between there and Tokyo in 2018. The self-filmed footage in this broadcast showed glimpses of that life.

On October 15, 2024, in an interview marking the band's 30th anniversary, TERU also spoke about his thoughts on "continuing." Viewed alongside his comments this time, one can trace TERU's thinking about the band's way of being.

This appearance was announced on GLAY's official website, with the guest appearance confirmed on October 18, 2026, and the broadcast content announced on October 25.

Plus One

The "unchanging relationship among the four members" discussed in this broadcast seems likely to be seen on the next stage as well. GLAY will kick off their national arena tour "GLAY ARENA TOUR 2026-2027 “EXOFIRE”" starting November 7, 2026.
