Members to Appear on Radio Programs Nationwide to Mark New Album Release

On October 19, 2026, the official GLAY website announced radio appearances tied to the release of their 18th original album, 『旅する理由を待ちながら』. TAKURO, TERU, and JIRO will each talk about the new album on their respective programs, and a message from HISASHI will also be delivered as part of an FM802 feature.

Details

According to the announcement, TAKURO made a comment appearance on FM802's「TACTY IN THE MORNING」(6:00–11:00) on October 19. Appearance information was also shared for the same day on TOKYO FM/JFN's「ONE MORNING」(6:00–9:00).

Next, on October 23, TERU will appear on FM802's「FRIDAY Cruisin' Map!!」, and on October 24, JIRO will join the same station's「Buggy Crash Night」via a live remote broadcast from his home studio. In Hokkaido, AIR-G' will broadcast「GLAY RADIO FAN MEETING」over four installments on October 26, November 2, November 9, and November 16.

Timed to the album's release week, FM802's feature「GLAY Self Commentary」will have members commenting on the album's tracks, and on October 21 from 14:00 to 18:00,「802 RADIO MASTERS」will air a message from HISASHI.

The Journey So Far

GLAY kicked off「GLAY EXPO 2024-2025」, commemorating their 30th debut anniversary, on June 8, 2024, opening at Belluna Dome in Saitama and reaching its grand finale at Tokyo Dome on June 1, 2025. After concluding this major 30th-anniversary milestone, the members reportedly worked on this new album while searching for what comes next for GLAY.

This isn't the first time members have talked about a new album on the radio. On June 8, 2021, TERU made a similar comment appearance on the same FM802 program「TACTY IN THE MORNING」, where bonus track audio from that era was also aired.

One More Thing

Since the programs are spread across different stations—FM802, TOKYO FM/JFN, and AIR-G'—checking radiko, each station's app, or program schedules in advance can help you avoid missing them. For those outside the broadcast area, listening via radiko Premium is also an option.

The album『旅する理由を待ちながら』releases on October 21, marking their first original album in about two years. It should also be enjoyable to hear the behind-the-scenes stories shared on the radio.
