Tower Records to Hold Panel Exhibition Celebrating the Release of『旅する理由を待ちながら』

To celebrate the release of GLAY's 18th original album『旅する理由を待ちながら』, Tower Records will hold a panel exhibition and a special receipt campaign, GLAY's official website has announced. The album will be released on October 21, 2026.

Details

GLAY's official website has announced a campaign at Tower Records to celebrate the release of『旅する理由を待ちながら』. At participating stores in Shibuya, Kawasaki, Hiroshima, Shizuoka, Saga, AEON LakeTown, and Kyoto, a commemorative panel exhibition will be held from October 20 to October 26, 2026, with the exhibited panels being given away to winners by lottery. A special receipt campaign will also be held alongside it.

Connection to GLAY's Journey So Far

『旅する理由を待ちながら』 is GLAY's first original album in roughly two years, created as the band, having completed their 30th anniversary activities, searched for what the "next GLAY" should be. The official website describes it as an album completed while rediscovering the initial impulse they had when they first formed.

The official website also announced on October 18, 2026 that a campaign would be held at HMV, with merchandise sales, a panel exhibition, a costume exhibition, and a lottery giveaway of collaboration posters taking place from October 20 to November 2, 2026. In addition, customers who pre-order the album at participating EC shops will receive a serial number, posted on their My Page, that can be used to apply for the purchaser-exclusive live "GLAY EXCLUSIVE LIVE 2026 “EXOFIRE” 〜THE BEGINNING〜" (October 23, 2026, at SGCホール有明).

One More Thing

The Tower Records panel exhibition and receipt campaign will run from October 20 to October 26, 2026, at participating stores in Shibuya, Kawasaki, Hiroshima, Shizuoka, Saga, AEON LakeTown, and Kyoto. Those interested should also keep an eye on the concurrent HMV campaign (October 20 – November 2) and the purchaser-exclusive live (October 23, at SGCホール有明), which requires a serial number to apply.
