GLAY has released the SPOT video for their 18th album 『旅する理由を待ちながら』, due out on October 21, on their official YouTube channel. The video arrives just ahead of the album's release.

The SPOT video for GLAY's 18th album 『旅する理由を待ちながら』 has been released on GLAY's official YouTube channel. This marks their 18th original album overall, their first in about two years, and it will be released on October 21, 2026.

The album contains 15 tracks in total, including 『Dead Or Alive』, the opening theme for the anime 『終末のワルキューレV』, 『NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN』, the opening theme for the second cour of 『ダイヤのA actU -Second Season-』, the single 『汚れた英雄』, and 『悲願 GLAY×世武裕子 feat.小田和正』, among others.

Connection to Their Journey So Far

This album is said to have been created as GLAY searched for 'the next GLAY' after completing their 30th debut anniversary activities. The members reportedly completed the songs while reconnecting with the raw impulses they felt when they first started making music and the feeling they had when the band was formed.

The songs on the album were first performed at 『LAWSON 50th Anniversary presents GLAY Special LIVE』 on January 27, 2026, and were later played during the hall tour 『HIGHCOMMUNICATIONS TOUR 2026 “GLAY complete BEST”』, which began in March, before being recorded. The album's release was announced on September 18, 2026, and the single 『汚れた英雄』, also included on the album, was released ahead of time on September 23.

The title track 『旅する理由を待ちながら』 had its first on-air broadcast on October 17 on FM802's 『BUGGY CRASH NIGHT』, hosted by JIRO. During the release week, FM802 will also air 『GLAY Self Commentary』, in which the members talk about the album's tracks.

A limited-time pop-up store commemorating the release will appear at the former Sanzen-ri site in Shibuya from October 20 to 26. In addition, special live shows limited to album purchasers are planned at Tokyo's SGC HALL ARIAKE, with October 22 for those who purchased 『汚れた英雄』 and October 23 for those who pre-ordered the album.
