GLAY Self Commentary to air on FM802, timed to new album release week

To coincide with the October 21, 2026 release of GLAY's 18th album 『旅する理由を待ちながら』, FM802 has announced that its programs will feature "GLAY Self Commentary," in which the members themselves talk about the tracks on the new release. In addition to the radio segments, comment appearances on various programs are also planned.

Details of the Plan

Starting from the release week of October 19, "GLAY Self Commentary" will be featured across multiple FM802 programs, with the members discussing the tracks on the album. It has been confirmed that TAKURO will make a comment appearance on "TACTY IN THE MORNING" (6:00–11:00) on October 19.

The new album contains 15 tracks in total, including the collaboration track with Kazumasa Oda, 「悲願 GLAY×世武裕子 feat.小田和正」, the opening theme for the anime 『終末のワルキューレIII』, 「Dead Or Alive」, the opening theme for 『ダイヤのA act II』, 「NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN」, as well as the latest singles 「汚れた英雄」 and 「EXOFIRE」. This looks to be a valuable opportunity to hear, in the members' own words, the background behind each song.

Connection to GLAY's Recent Journey

This marks GLAY's first original album in about two years, following 『Back To The Pops』 released in October 2024. It is described as an album created while GLAY, having just completed their 30th anniversary activities, explores what direction to take next.

Some of the tracks have already been performed live, at the 『LAWSON 50th Anniversary presents GLAY Special LIVE』 on January 27, 2026, and during the nationwide hall tour 『HIGHCOMMUNICATIONS TOUR 2026 “GLAY complete BEST”』, which began in March. The songs were recorded after gauging audience reactions in these live settings. The lead single 「汚れた英雄」 was also released on September 23, and this radio campaign is an extension of that same ongoing flow.

One More Thing

FM802's "TACTY IN THE MORNING" airs on Monday, October 19, from 6:00 to 11:00, with TAKURO making a comment appearance. It has not been revealed which songs will be discussed on the show, but it promises to be a valuable comment delivered right before the release.

The album 『旅する理由を待ちながら』 will be released on October 21. It will be exciting to hear how the members themselves describe, in their own words, the songs already heard through the lead single and live performances.
