In an autumn anime theme song roundup published on October 6, 2026 by the music media outlet "Mikiki," GLAY's "NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN" was introduced. Written and composed by TERU, the song serves as the opening theme for the second cour of the TV anime "ダイヤのA actⅡ -Second Season-".

What Happened

On October 6, 2026, "Mikiki," a music media outlet operated by Tower Records, published a feature article titled "2026年10月期 秋アニメの主題歌をまとめてチェック" (A Roundup Check of Autumn 2026 Anime Theme Songs), listing GLAY alongside BUCK-TICK, aiko, Superfly, MAN WITH A MISSION, M!LK, and JO1. The song featured was "NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN," written and composed by TERU, which is included on GLAY's 64th single "汚れた英雄". The track has been adopted as the opening theme for the second cour of the TV anime "ダイヤのA actⅡ -Second Season-", which began airing in October.

Connection to GLAY's Journey

The 64th single "汚れた英雄," which contains "NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN," was released on September 23, 2026. It is composed of three new songs and five live tracks selected from GLAY's 2026 live performances, with the title track "汚れた英雄" having been performed for the first time at the Kアリーナ横浜 concert on January 27 of the same year.

This is not the first time GLAY has been connected to an anime theme song. Their previous single, the 63rd release "Dead Or Alive" (released December 3, 2025), was also written specifically as the opening theme for the TV anime "終末のワルキューレIII". Including this latest song, GLAY has now provided theme songs for the "ダイヤのA" series a total of six times.

One More Thing

"汚れた英雄," which includes "NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN," was already released on September 23, 2026. The second cour of the anime "ダイヤのA actⅡ -Second Season-" began airing in October, and the song can be heard alongside the opening visuals. GLAY also has an arena tour, "GLAY ARENA TOUR 2026-2027 "EXOFIRE"", scheduled to begin in November 2026, comprising 22 performances across 11 venues nationwide.
